This morning, I feel a little sad, a little lost. Getting a book ready for publication is rather like a whirlwind. Then, when it’s completely finished, the quiet is deafening. I miss Ned and Pat, Jackie, Miss Ann, Cade, and all the rest of them. I even miss the bad guys. And, believe me, they were bad! I actually couldn’t find anything good in at least one of the villains.
Moonstruck and Murderous centers around an old house and a full moon, a blue moon. At the beginning of the book, Ned is enthralled with an historic house, Carver Mansion. It is beautiful; it has maintained an established place in the history of the county for more than 200 years. But, as the story progresses, Ned begins to see the house in a different light. Pat knew from the first that there was something wrong about it, but then, Pat, as you know, is a bit superstitious.
Before the story ends, Ned discovers something that has been kept secret for decades and she is decidedly floored. She never would have guessed it. Pat’s family is expanding and Jackie has a surprise or two. Life goes along in Ednalee, like a river running quietly to the sea, but beneath the surface of the tranqility, evil lurks.
The book is completed and my publisher is putting on the finishing touches, a few tweaks to format and picture. Soon, I’ll be able to announced that Moonstruck is on the market! If you’d like to pre-order the print book, you may do so at Pen-L.com. Just click on the link. Before long, the ebook will be available for pre-order from Amazon.
