Yesterday the wind blew like a storm all day! Usually, it was twenty-five miles per hour but there were gusts of up to fifty mph. Grass fires were a danger. In fact, even as I went to bed last night, I smelled smoke. I do not like a strong gale. Some people say it invigorates them. Not I! I hear it roaring through the trees and, like horses, cows, cats, and dogs, it makes me nervous.
I should have known wind was on its way when I saw yesterday’s sunrise.
This morning I found a big cardboard box on my lawn, blown here from who knows where? I think if I had gotten out with a sail attached, I might have been blown into Kansas.
By the way, this is the last day you can get your name in for the Amazon $10 gift certificate. Just tell me which of my cozy mysteries you liked best and why. Thanks to all the entries. I’ve gotten some mighty nice statements about Darcy, Flora, and Ned. Here is one that Sharon Rose Mierke entered on yesterday’s Coments section. Thank you, Sharon.
Just thought I would let you know that I finished Moonlight can be Murder. I read it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down! Wonderful writing! This is my favorite.
May your day be blessed, whether it’s sunny, cloudy, hot or cold, and may you adjust your sails and reach your destination, no matter which way the wind blows. ———————————————————————————————————- If you haven’t yet met Darcy Campbell, Flora Tucker or Ned McNeil, they would like to make your acquaintance.
If you’d like to know more about a retired kindergarten teacher who has turned to murder and mayhem in the coziest way, you can go to: amazon.com, Pen-L.com, Twitter.com, Pinterest.com, https://www.facebook.com/blanchedaymanos.author or just ask me.
There is no way to pick your best book. I love them all.
The Cemetery Club is my favorite because it introduced me to Darcy and Flora.. As I read it I pictured you as Darcy and Grandma as Flora. I’m sure you and Grandma would have had some crazy adventures if you’d had the opportunity!
Thank you, Teresa. I actually had Mom in mind as I wrote (write) the Darcy and Flora adventures. We did have a few adventures too. She was always my friend and advisor and loved having fun.
Thank you, Mary Alice. That was a very sweet thing to say. I hope you like the new Darcy and Flora which should see the light of day some time this spring.
