My thoughts are with my home state of Oklahoma this morning and the tragedy that struck in Stillwater yesterday. I’m sure you have heard about the car that plowed into a group of people watching the Oklahoma State homecoming parade. How could such a thing happen?
Crowds had gathered to celebrate and cheer on their team when, with no warning whatsoever, the world changed for many and the lives of four people ended. What a shocking, horrible thing.
As I watched the news, I thought of how uncertain life is, how, even at its best, it is very brief. And, I thought that we should cherish each other, care for each other, and enjoy each moment that we have together.
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James 4:14.
I pray for comfort for those who have lost loved ones and for healing for the injured. And I pray for the driver of the car because she has a terrible burden to carry.
Amen. So sad praying for all.
Thanks, Deb. So am I. Really a shocking, sad thing.
