We managed a cozy critique yesterday between showers. Three of our critters couldn’t make it but three could and we had a lot to share. Jane brought a lovely painting, an old-fashioned little boy that she had painted using multi-media, pen and ink and colored pencils. She also brought a sheet for us writers to consider when writing about emotions. It has a lot of good pointers. She got it from the Writers’ Write website: http://writerswrite.co.za/
Nancy shared that she is going to have an internet radio show! I’ll just tell you about it in her own words: The next phase is developing an internet radio show, Living Life Unedited, on the Christian Women Affiliate Radio Network. This will be a 30 minute talk radio show on Thursdays at 4 p.m. CT, beginning July 23. The show will feature biblical teachings, application, and guest interviews. Each episode will be archived and available for listening here. Life is unscripted–embrace grace!
Remember that Nancy Kay Grace’s book,The Grace Impact is available on Amazon as an ebook or paperback.
I had just received the packet of 13 front-page stories I wrote for Union Gospel Press. These are fiction stories for the teen market, centering around some of the problems teens face today. They center around a biblical truth. I’ve enjoyed writing for Gospel Press for thirty or more years and have written for all age groups.
And, of course, I also discussed Darcy and Flora’s fourth book. I don’t know if other writers do this, but after I wrote six chapters, I looked at them, saw where I needed to add more tension, and re-wrote. Is this a common thing or am I unique in this? I’d save more time if I could get it right the first time!
So, we Critters munched cookies, drank tea and coffee, and discussed the writing life. Also, let me remind you, Jane and her son John David will be heavily involved in the antique show which will be coming up this weekend at the Convention Center. Jane knows her antiques!
