It took a while to recognize it. Sometime during the night, it must have started. It’s the sound of rain! Drumming on the roof, dancing off the deck, sluicing down the windows, rain! The street is a-glimmer; shimmers of lightning dance across wet pavement. Trees and flowers stand silently, lifting grateful arms to the dark heavens. Thunder prowls among the clouds.
It must be the thunder that is a problem for Nemo. He should go outside and take care of business but when I open the door, he looks at me and asks, “Are you crazy? Me go out in that?” So, I hope he can wait a while.
In the meantime, I’m grateful for the rain and have officially declared this a writing day. Writing, reading, and guess what? It’s Cozy Critique Day. The Critters may have to dash between the raindrops to get to my front door but they are a valiant group. They’ve done that before and they, like I, love the rain. It’s a good day for books! ———————————————————————————————————
“It would take many great adjectives to describe this third book of Blanche Day Manos. They were all three fantastic; but this third one was beyond fantastic. i didn’t want to put the book down so I simply put off my responsibilities or even my sleep. I didn’t want to put it down because I wanted to see what was going to happen next. I definitely recommend all three of these books; just be prepared to get emotionally involved in each plot.” — Amazon Review
