I just happened to come across part of a newspaper from Ventris County, the Ventris County Viewpoint, and thought you might like to see what’s going on in Levi, Oklahoma, in between books.
News about Town
Jasper Harris is out of pocket again,
gone for one of his strolls through the
woods. Jasper’s mother, Pat Harris, is
afraid that, with the snow and colder weather,
Jasper may not be warm enough in his
hideout, wherever that is. If anyone sees
Jasper, please tell him to go home.
Herbal Thieves Strike Jenkins Home
The Misses Carolina and Georgia Jenkins
report that someone has dug up some of their
herbs. They wouldn’t be alarmed except the ladies
tell this reporter that Spearmint and Lemon Thyme
make super good cough medicine when mixed with
honey and a certain secret ingredient. They value
these herbs and can’t afford to lose them. They had
covered the herbs for the winter, but the thief
was so determined, he removed the cover and
dug up the plants. All this happened right after
last night’s rain and when the rain turned to snow,
all footprints were covered over.
New School Nears Completion
Hiram Schuster reports that the new school Flora Tucker is building, Ben’s Boys, is nearing completion. The school, named for its benefactor, Ben Ventris, will be a home and learning center for boys needing a little extra attention and love to get a healthy start in today’s society.
Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Love it Blanche
Thanks, Peg.
