This morning sort of slipped in without a big fanfare. A few clouds gentled the sunrise then they scooted over and made way for daylight. A breeze is stirring the maple’s leaves. And, at long last my crepe myrtles are leafing out.
But it’s chilly this morning. More tornadoes did their deadly dance through Texas and Arkansas and many people in these states and Oklahoma are still affected by floods and the damage left behind by the tornadoes. Prayers for those who lost loved ones.
And, in Nepal, another earthquake. Those devastated people need our prayers and our help. Franklin Graham’s group as well as many others are bringing aid as quickly as they can. I am always warmed by the generosity of Americans as well as people from other nations. When help is needed,we extend a warm and caring helping hand.
My Minnesota brother tells me snow is expected there today. Now that’s a good day for a fire in the fireplace, a cup of coffee, and a cozy mystery!
Today I plan to go to an assisted living center to talk about Darcy and Flora. I’m not looking to change residences. Thankfully, I need no assistance to live but I want to visit with people who do. No one is ever too old to pursue his/her dream. If it’s writing or something else, we need to get with it. Following a dream gives meaning to life, a spark in the day, and actually energy to our minds and bodies. And, of course, for me writing is that dream.
These are just the bits and pieces floating through my mind this morning, Tuesday tidbits, but there they are. I hope your Tuesday is blessed with many wonderful things and a flame inside that warms you and keeps you going.
May the Good Lord bless and keep you
Whether near or far away
May you find that long awaited
Golden day today. (Lyrics by Vaughn, Frederick/DP)
