Be sure not to miss tomorrow’s blog post. It will be by guest author, Josephine Montgomery. Josephine is a fascinating author, wood carver, and story teller. Her British background and her experiences as she grew up are intriguing, to say the least. Josephine is an occasional guest on my blog. I always feel blessed when I read one of her memories about her English childhood. Not many people can recount experiences such as these.
People in NW Arkansas and NE Oklahoma had an interesting experience yesterday. We went from spring to winter in only a few short hours. And, the confused thermometer will be going downward all day, instead of climbing. Vexed by this turn of events, the elements got together and hurled rain and lightning bolts during the night.
As I look out at the day, it is gray and wet. It isn’t raining or snowing at the moment, but who knows what will happen within the next few hours? One thing for sure, the weather has forsaken spring in favor of winter, at least for the time being.
So, what to do on such a day when being out doesn’t look inviting? Stay in, of course! Surround yourself with cozy mysteries and coffee and a crackling fireplace. A trip to a small Oklahoma town where friends, warmth, and mystery abound is only the turn of a page away.
Little-known fact about Blanche Day Manos, author of six cozy mysteries: She was once face to face with a spider who, mesmerized by her organ playing, dropped down for a closer listen.
