The clouds came rolling in again last night. Thunder rumbled; Nemo paced. I think in addition to hearing the loud sounds which he doesn’t understand, he must be highly sensitive to the charged air, or something that we humans don’t feel. Whatever it is, thunderstorms make him nervous. I was glad to see the rain come. I won’t have to water plants today and the grass is staying nice and green. Plus–well–I just enjoy a good rainfall.
My Minnesota family has come and gone. The house seems mighty quiet now and a tad lonely. Do you feel that way after visitors leave? They are enjoying a refreshing summer by a wonderful, cold lake. A good place to spend the Fourth of July! We were busy the whole time they were here, going, seeing, exploring, picnicking. My niece Missy took lots of great photos.
Missy loves to sing. So do I. We both also play the piano. So, we had some fun duets, vocal and keyboard. You should have heard us! I’m surprised Peg, next door, didn’t. This reminded me of the times, many years ago, when Lola and I sang and played the piano together, or the piano and organ at church.
Today, after a long absence, the Cozy Critters will meet. It’ll be nice to catch up. Jane said she’d be here with bells on. I think she actually meant her bells would be a children’s story she has written but…well, we’ll see.
Today? Today is a writing day. At least, this morning. Ednalee, Oklahoma is having a very rainy spring. It is March and there are two full moons–a blue moon. Pat is very sure that all the strange happenings are due to moonlight on Granger Mansion. Jackie is undergoing some problems of her own and Ned–well, as usual, Ned’s curiosity is leading her into trouble. It’s fun to get her out.
Although I don’t often mention this, it is a bargain! The first three Darcy and Flora cozies, three ebooks for $10. Guaranteed to have lots of extra shivers.
