We were going to do the interview via Skype but, somehow, I missed adding a setting, so Nancy Kay Grace came to my house instead. Sitting at the hundred-year old table which had never hosted a radio interview in all its long life, Nancy opened her laptop, clicked a few buttons, and we were ready to begin.
It was such fun! Nancy, author of The Grace Impact, is also host for the radio program, Living Life Unedited. She had asked me, your humble cozy mystery writer, to be her guest.
Nancy was easy to talk to and kept the conversation moving. She wanted to know about my faith journey, how it impacted my writing, and the cozy mysteries I’ve written plus the new one coming out September 19, Grave Heritage.
The broadcast aired yesterday. It will be archived, so if you didn’t listen yesterday, you may certainly do that today or later. Just click on http://www.cwaradio.com/living-life-unedited.html. I listened this morning. Was that my voice? Do I really sound like that? Oh, my goodness! I think hearing my voice as others hear me, is like seeing myself as others see me, or catching a glimpse of myself in a department store mirror: humbling.
Anyway, I greatly enjoyed the interview and thank Nancy for the opportunity. A phrase of hers that popped up during the interview was my inspiration for the title of this morning’s blog post, Thoughts For Early Morning. Life is interesting, challenging, and certainly has its share of mysteries. I hope all yours are cozy ones.
