Fran’s luncheons are always fun, but her retreats add another dimension. Yesterday began with breakfast, progressed to watching Christian teaching videos, a quiet time of contemplation, lunch, and discussion. It truly is a time to come away from the daily routine, study God’s Word, and gain new insights. It’s also a time of fun, fellowship, and I heard quite a bit of laughter around Fran’s long table. Because of this wonderful lady’s outreach, I’ve made new friends and become more firmly grounded in what I believe. Thanks, Fran.
When I came back home, I raked the leaves left behind when the cut limbs were picked up, then took my dog for a walk. After that, the herb garden called me. A couple of bumble bees were working in the bee balm, and the little stone statue was gazing at a bucket of chocolate mint. I enjoyed the herbs with her for a bit, thinking over the day, and being grateful for God’s blessings. It’s good sometimes to just rest and think about the day. There’s no better place for that than an herb garden.
Thank you for this, Blanche! You really blessed me, again, to hear what the retreats do for you, that’s an answer to prayer. Also, I loved knowing what you did after you went home. A lovely follow-up to the day! Bless you!!
Thanks, Fran. Your retreats and luncheons are really special.
