Lots of things to think about this morning. Lots of things to try not to worry about. I guess it’s all right to be thoughtful if that doesn’t involve worry, isn’t it? Starting each day with several cups of hot, strong Folgers is a habit, but it’s a comforting habit. And, thoughts go better with something hot, don’t you agree?
One thing on my mind is the weather! Our forecaster says tomorrow night we may have severe storms. But, that’s what comes around every spring. Tuesday was so warm, the air conditioner was welcome. Yesterday, the fireplace felt really good. So, we are at a change of seasons, warm air colliding with the cold, and storms are the result.
Nemo went to his favorite veterinarian yesterday. Exuberant Nemo is always ready to go wherever I go, come what may. He could hardly wait to get through the door of the clinic and I was struggling along, holding doors and holding on to Nemo. The first thing he did was step on the foot of a dignified German Shepherd. Thank goodness, that noble dog just ignored Nemo. Next, a long-haired chihuahua caught his eye but she was safely ensconced in her owner’s arms. A long time ago, Nemo went to obedience school, but he needs a refresher course. He sat when I told him, but I neglected to mention how long he should sit, so it was rather an up and down exercise.
Anyway, Nemo has a yeast infection in his ear. We left the clinic with meds in hand and hopefully he will feel better soon.
My patient publisher and I have been working on my biography. We’ve re-done it completely and we like it much better. I think you will, but I’d like to get your opinion. Please click on Author’s Page and see what you think. It’s the first column on the left. If you haven’t yet clicked the “follow” button, I’d appreciate that too.
I’m enjoying reading Laura Child’s newest tea shop mystery, Pekoe Most Poison. I enjoy her tea shop series and her scrapbooking series.
I ask God’s blessing on this Thoughtful Thursday. Remember, being thoughtful is not the same as worrying. Worrying is a pointless exercise but carefully thinking about a situation or a problem and a possible remedy will get the job done. Especially when it’s accompanied by a cup of hot coffee!
I like Laura Childs Books also. I am re reading her tea shop books now.
Yes, they are warm and interesting, good books to re-read.
I really like your biography, Aunt Blanche. The only thing they should add is that you have a niece that thinks you’re mighty awesome! 🙂 Just kidding!
What a sweet thing to say, Teresa. You have an aunt who knows for sure she is blessed to have such an incredible niece.
Hello Auntie! I just read your blog and new biography to daddy and he suggests that you visit Hawaii if the opportunity ever presents itself!
I agree with my brother. It would be a wonderful place to visit. I’ve heard lots of people say how beautiful it is. I wonder if cozy mysteries sell well there? So far as I know, I’ve never had a visitor to my blog from Hawaii.Maybe if I set a story in a tropical paradise….
