Believe it or not, there are two robins on my neighbor’s lawn. They do this every year–appear before warm weather. Robins are carnivorous. They will eat seeds but I’m not sure how well they digest them. Does anybody know? And each year, many robins die because snow or ice cover the ground and they can’t break through to their juicy food source–worms. Sure enough, there’s a possibility of snow, come Sunday. Maybe instead of being the harbingers of spring, I should start thinking of robins as the harbingers of more winter weather.
The sun this morning can’t tell whether it wants to shine or not. It really hasn’t had much practice this winter. When it does shine, though, we earthlings appreciate it! In my east bedroom window hangs a prism Sara gave me several years ago. When the sun shines, rainbows dance on my bedroom walls, the floor and ceiling, even into the hall. That simple little gift has given me a lot of joy. It reminds me of my grandchildren, full of light and dancing through the days, brightening the life of their grandmother.
