My thoughts are scattered this morning. I blame it on the before-Christmas-rush. The sky is blue, sun is shining, and the rain has stopped. It’s six days before Christmas and I’m trying to finish a few last-minute things. I’m convinced I should have started getting ready for Christmas in July. In fact, I meant to do that. I mean to do that every year. Good intentions.
I see that Dean Martin’s Baby, It’s Cold Outside, has hit number one in the charts for the first time ever. Good! We don’t need Big Brother or Big Sister censoring what we read or listen to or see. There’s the “off” button on the radio or TV, there’re other books on the shelves. We should have the right to choose our own preferences in these things, shouldn’t we? I think so!
Nemo has gotten his first Christmas present from his aunt and uncle. Isn’t that neat? I didn’t know such signs were in existence, and it’s a cute idea. I could tell right away that he was impressed.
Whatever gifts you are giving this Christmas, I hope you give the gift of love and the gift of forgiveness. They go a long way in brightening the day. And, I hope you receive those same gifts. Remember, the Baby in the manger was the epitome of love and forgiveness. It’s His birthday we are celebrating.
