Did you see the news story about the rescue of an eighteen-month old baby from a wrecked car in Utah? The car was upside down in a river, the baby dangling from her car seat and her mother in the front seat, dead. The four rescuers all agreed they heard a voice from inside the car begging for help but whose voice did they hear? The mother was dead, the baby unconscious; yet they heard someone saying, “Help. Help us.”
It was impossible, right? But, it happened. I believe it happened because with God, nothing is impossible.
Sometimes we tend to believe only what we see or touch but there’s much, much more to life. And, I’m glad. I’m glad there are many things that we can’t explain from our mortal viewpoint. I’m glad there is Someone higher and wiser and things exist that we just don’t understand.
You see, I believe it was God who formed the Universe and that He is a spiritual Being and is all-powerful. We see only the physical side of life but there is another side, a limitless, everlasting side, a spiritual side. That’s exciting and wonderful and in a world where many things go wrong, this belief gives me hope. This makes the unexplainable possible.
