Music is a universal language, joining people of all nationalities who cannot speak or understand any language but their own. Music, we all understand and respond to.
As the seven junior and high school choirs presented their annual spring concert, I was blessed to listen and enjoy. This group of youngsters, under the leadership of their talented choral directors, were a joy to hear. My reason for being there was my grandson, in the concert choir.
Troubles and the state of international and national affairs sort of melted away, as they sang. These were smart, talented serious-minded youngsters. Our future is in good hands.
I left with the strains of the combined choirs, “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” echoing in my mind. Yes, we all need to put a little love in our hearts and what better way than through music?
