Do golf balls grow on trees? It looks like this one did.
My brother Tracy sent me this interesting photo a few years back. At a glance it looks as if the tree may be the first of its kind to sprout a golf ball. I can’t tell if the tree is squeezing the golf ball into a different shape or if it just looks that way. Evidently, it has been there for quite a while.
How did it get there? Did someone hit the ball and it landed in the tree? Or, did someone place it there on purpose?
If you’ll look closely, you will see the name of the ball’s maker stamped on it. So we know who made it and what it is but not how it got there nor how long it has been there. It’s a mystery.
This us but one of the many mysteries in this world for which we’ll never know the answer. This is one of the harmless ones, but still a curiosity.
Thanks for reading and writing, Morgan. Yes, it is a mystery. My supposition is that some golfer’s shot went awry and he never found the ball. But, that may not be the right answer. I guess it’s from mysteries that books are written. The “what if” that becomes a story.
