The weather can be stormy and barmy and last night, it was pretty alarmy. I don’t think alarmy is a word, but last night, it was alarming, for sure. Nemo and I enjoyed sitting on the deck, reading, yesterday afternoon. (I was reading, Nemo was investigating the yard.) Then, inside for supper. Not a cloud in sight.
Along about 9:00 or so, a weather warning started running across the TV screen. What? Surely, not. Then, I heard the loud thunder. Believe me, Nemo heard it too and didn’t care for it. Thankfully, it didn’t last long, very little rain, and no damage that I know of, at least, around here.
Today is beginning nicely, maybe deceptively so, because we have a chance for more storms this afternoon. One thing about the weather is that it’s untrustworthy. You’ve heard the term, “as changeable as the weather”? Last night was further proof of the truth of that old saying.
