Yesterday the temperature was not bad; it was windy, sort of like spring. Last night, a noisy thunderstorm blew in and now? Snow! The yards are covered with white. Will it continue? Only time will tell. It’s interesting to watch and snow always makes things prettier. It also makes driving more treacherous.
Nemo left little footprints across the deck this morning. What does he think about the snow? It doesn’t bother him because he doesn’t spend much time in it. His furry coat is thick and warm, but his favorite place any more is inside the people house. When he was a puppy, he loved to tunnel through the snow.
Next week, he goes to have the stitches out of his ear. It has healed nicely and he doesn’t have to worry about polyps any more.
Colored pencils and plenty of paper await me on the dining table–the place where most of my drawings take place. As I draw, I consider the cover picture for Moonstruck and Murderous. Not that I’ll be doing that cover. No, it’ll be professionally done and much better than anything I could put together. All I do is offer suggestions.
No matter how you feel about winter–whether it brings on an inclination to hibernate or it inspires you to go exploring in the snow, it is a good time to read! (Actually, any time is a good time to read.) My fireplace will be going. The coffee pot will too. Cozy mysteries and paintings–all fun things to do as I sit inside where it’s warm and comfortable and enjoy looking out at the snow.
