Who’s awake this morning? The only movement on my quiet street is a ruffle of leaves in my neighbor’s yard as a squirrel whisks into sight. A friend joins him and they disappear somewhere, intent upon squirrel business.
We had more rain last night and the thirsty earth soaks it up. Soggy leaves lie scattered across the grass; orange pumpkins on my neighbors’ porches lend a touch of color.
It’s a wonderful day to light the fireplace, settle in with a good, hot cup of coffee and get lost within the pages of a cozy mystery. What could be better?
The Lord bless you and keep you close to His heart and in the shelter of His mighty hands.
We’re getting more rain also. It started about an hour ago, which surprised me. Anyway, now we can appreciate it more than it past years!
Yes, we certainly can. That was a very long dry spell and now we’re getting the wonderful autumn rains.
