Such a pleasant morning. A soft, gentle rain, a few rumbles of thunder. Nemo and I sat on the deck, protected by the redbud tree, our leafy umbrella. The crepe myrtle shows up well in the darkness of early morning. A good start to the day.
Yesterday, I took a copy of Moonstruck and Murderous to a friend in my small group. (I still call it the Sunday School class–what’s the difference?) I remembered another member of our group, Charles, who isn’t there any more. I am quite sure that a lot more women than men read my cozies, maybe any cozy. But, Charles always asked me if a new book was out yet, and eagerly read each one. He was a gentle soul, a dear person, and I miss him now that he has gone to be with the Lord.
The morning lightens a bit, but the thunder is still growling overhead, threatening to bring more rain. That’s fine with me. My plants and grass need it. Whatever your day holds, whether it is rainy or sunny, I hope it’s a good one, filled with bright moments. And, remember, a cozy mystery a day keeps those blues away!
I’d like a little rumble and some gentle rain.
I hope you get some soon, Stephanie.
