What strange and shivery things happen under the light of the silvery moon? What frightful shadows move quickly across the grass only to disappear in the darkness of the trees? Was it only a nightmare or was Ned McNeil in very real danger from something unknown?
Sure enough, yesterday the UPS man delivered the first copy of By the Fright of the Silvery Moon. This is the way it will look when it is released in a few days. Isn’t it beautiful?
Before I went to eat lunch yesterday with Peg, Deb, and Shirley, I was hoping to show them this first copy. It didn’t arrive in time for lunch but it did arrive before supper. What a thrill!
Now, my final task will be to read Fright one more time for typos. If I find any, I’ll send them to my publisher who, with a quick flick of her wrist, will fix them and then it’ll be ready to make its great debut! Exciting!
Thank you, my friends, for waiting patiently. Only a few more days and the final leg of Fright’s long journey will be completed. My hope is that you enjoy reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it.
Congratulations. Exciting news! I’m anxious for the publication so I can read more of Ned’s exciting adventures under that big old moon.
Thanks, Peg! I’m eager for you to read it too.
