September in the Rain

September in the Rain

More rain is forecast today. My grass is going wild with joy! Flowers are refreshed, and trees nod their heads like ancient sages who know the secrets of the ages. Just about anything goes better with a rainy day, including books, reading, writing, and cozy critiques. Today is the day for a few of us to gather around the hundred-year old table, share cookies, laughter, and reading and writing news.  It is Cozy Critique time and I look forward to hearing from the cozy critters.

In the near future, I plan to have some guest bloggers at this spot. I’m looking forward to reading fresh ideas, new outlooks and old experiences. I look forward to hearing about the importance of books and words in the lives of others. I believe you will enjoy reading them too.

Speaking of the rain, and how it brings out the best in plants and flowers, I am amazed at my chocolate mint. I left it in a container this year and it thinks it is a vine. It has grown and grown, delicate green tendrils swinging happily in the rain. I wonder if, before frost, it will reach all the way from the planter to the ground. The little girl statuette watches it and is probably wondering too. Rain on this chocolatey herb is rather like ideas for writing. From fresh inspiration, best-sellers have grown!
