What is there about an early spring morning before the sun comes up, when the grass is soggy with yesterday’s rain? The air is hushed and listening for the robin’s song and the dove’s call to announce a new beginning. Leaves are still except when the whisper of a breeze stirs them. The wonder of it all, the mystery of the dawn is far beyond my ability to understand. It is a miracle and a gift, the best part of the day.
No matter what yesterday held, no matter if the night was dark and restless, when morning comes, it is all wiped away. It’s time to get up, throw off old problems and try again.
Have you ever considered taking all your troubles and worries, wrapping them up in a big package and laughing at them? Sometimes, that’s hard to do but it’s worth giving it a try. Acting silly and goofy may not cause problems to disappear but it sure makes them smaller. Focusing on the positive is a good thing.
As today begins, I’m keeping some of that laughter and happy times tucked away in my pocket. They’ll be there if needed throughout the day.
