My heart is heavy this morning. Yesterday morning, my dear Minnesota sister-in-law went to be with the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with my brother, niece and nephew, and her sister and brother. She was a part of my family for more than fifty years. In that space of time, you get to know a person, her likes and dislikes, her thoughts about God and politics. You count that person as a friend and look forward to her visits. You share funny stories, laugh at goofy jokes, and try to comfort each other during the times of loss that come to all of us during half a century.
Carlene was a neat, kind, talented person. And, when it’s time for that person to go, you don’t quite know what to do with the void she leaves. But, knowing that she had an unshakable faith in the Lord Jesus comforts us all. I’ll miss her until the time that we can meet again.
I’m sorry, Blanche. I’m grateful you have the comfort of knowing you’ll see her again!
You and your family are in my prayers. Love, Fran
Thanks so much, Fran.
Oh, Blanche, I’m so sorry. You will miss her, and it seems her life was too short. sisters and brothers are so dear to us. May God give you and your brother strength and His comfort.
Thank you, Norma. Yes, I will certainly miss her and it seems she left us far too soon.
So sorry, Blanche — Praying for comfort for you and your family.
I appreciate that so much, Judy.
I’m sorry Blanche. I know how much you looked forward to visits from Tracy and Carlene and that you loved her like a sister. But you wil meet again and be able to catch up on all that’s happened. May God comfort you, Tracy and her family.
Yes, you are right, Peg. Thanks for your comforting comment.
