“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). So begins one of the most powerful chapters in the Bible. It ties in nicely with one of my favorite songs, “This is my Father’s world.” Sometimes we forget Who is the ultimate authority, Who has final and lasting ownership. It’s comforting to me, that with all the turmoil, struggles, petty hurts and horrible sins that are going on, one day the Owner will say that’s enough and will establish justice. His peace will be lasting as we obey His precepts, not through coercion, but with great joy and love.
Mankind’s strivings seem rather futile when viewed in the light of an almighty and all-wise God.
May your day be blessed with love and peace, wisdom and hope. This truly is our Father’s world.
