Moody Wednesday

Moody Wednesday

If Wednesday were a person, she would be in a dark, pensive mood today. Clouds hover over the tree tops, rain drips onto an over-turned bucket. A breeze meanders through soggy leaves.

Sometimes I too am moody. Gloomy thoughts come calling and it’s hard to get them to leave. I don’t want anyone to tell me to cheer up. I pull my bleak and cheerless thoughts around me like a blanket or a shield.

Rainy days come and go. The sun shines and all is well with the world. Nature has a cycle and, as I see it, we humans do too. What do you think?

I think so. Many here in Canada suffer from SAD. It’s a seasonal disorder – people feel very lethargic because the days are so short and we don’t get enough sunlight. Some of us are fortunate enough to spend some of those cold short winter days down south!

I agree. I’ve often wondered how people who live in far Alaska manage with only 6 months of sun. Dark days and dark moods indeed!
