Today is the National Day of Prayer. Please pray for our Nation! This is God’s promise to His people: If we first of all, humble ourselves, then pray and seek his face, turning from our wicked ways, He promises to hear and forgive and heal our blessed country.
Yesterday started dark and rainy but didn’t stay that way long. By the time Jane and I got to Fran’s, the sun shone. Even if it had stayed gloomy outside, believe me, Fran’s house would have been sunny.
Orange with purple was the color theme for the luncheon. Plates, napkins, table runner followed through. Even a salad or two was orange as well as being delicious. I don’t know Fran’s recipe for minestrone soup but I’ve never tasted better.
Conversation always flows easily at Fran’s. Never have I heard a harsh or judgmental tone and gossip has no place.
Thanks for the day brightener, Fran, the hospitality and friendship. Your luncheon is something to carry in my heart until the next time.
Dear Blanche, what a bright spot you’ve put in this storm-coming morning! Your words of affirmation about the lunch is an answer to prayer…and you are always part of the blessings of the First Wednesday Lunch! Thank you so much! And I’m happy to share any recipes! : )
Yum! Thanks, Fran! Then I’d like that minestrone recipe, please.
