Yesterday, I heard thunder while in Sunday school. Sure enough, when the class was over and I came out of the church building, the humidity hit me like steam.

Rain fell almost all morning and part of the afternoon but that was fine. It was a good backdrop for Dawn’s birthday lunch.
Rain, sun, and more rain–grass and flowers will be growing by leaps and bounds.
Speaking of leaps and bounds, I not only have a front yard toad but one in the back yard too. Moving the bird bath just a bit the other day, I was surprised to see a plump, brown toad. He startled me as much as I startled him.
A writing note: I’m planning on starting a newsletter; maybe one every three months or so. It is still in the planning process. It will have a recipe or two, some personal notes, and prizes.
