February is just one of those months! It’s winter. It’s cold. Trees are bare. Grass looks like it has forgotten the word green. Of course, there are some bright spots–Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s Day and the dear old groundhog who’d probably still be sleeping if he weren’t pulled from his warm burrow to face a slew of cameras. But, all in all, February is cold. So, how do you warm it up? How do I warm it up? I’ve thought of a few ways that are peculiarly mine and I’ll bet you have a few of your own.
Improving February with…
…the warm coffee pot beneath my hands on a cold, dark morning
…warmth coming from the light bulbs in my oven hood, a welcome feel when I stagger into the kitchen and get breakfast started
…the comfort of my corn bag on my cold feet, heated to perfection in the microwave
…snuggling under an afghan and reading a good book
…that first sip of fresh-brewed, hot Folgers each morning
…a cozy critique with the Cozy Critters, coffee and cookies at hand, fireplace blazing
…my family gathered around the hundred-year old table on Sunday for dinner and a warm conversation about the happenings of the week
Now that I think about it, February is a pretty nice month after all.
