It was a pleasant way to spend an hour and half, with four other friends, munching on Chick-Fil-A. The others, Barbara, Jeanette, Mary Jesse, and Joy are native Arkansas people and I, the only Oklahoman but they let me into the group anyway! Believe it or not, we found common ground, shared interests. They are fun ladies.
A squirrel last night on my deck railing found an interesting way to beat the heat. A few drops of rain fell, probably cooling the wood a few degrees and Squirrel was lying down flat on his tummy, hind legs stretched out behind him on the railing, just enjoying the relative coolness.
Speaking of which, it’s cloudy this morning and I hope those clouds hovering over gather up, join forces, and decide to shower us with rain. Even after our really wet spring, we are needing moisture again.
Tomorrow the Cozy Critique meets. They are an energetic, creative group and I look forward to hearing what they’ve read and written.
I’ve finished reading The Ginseng Conspiracy by Susan Bernhardt. I’m now reading her second Kay Driscoll book, Murder Under the Tree. Interesting cozies.
Another neat review on The Cemetery Club. You might enjoy reading what someone else said.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
