God supplies all our needs–one day at a time.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Too many possibilities out there, too many decisions to make, too many problems and possible problems, too many concerns. Too many “what ifs” about tomorrow. Pile on top of that, all the mistakes, heartaches, wrongs and bad stuff from all our yesterdays and it’s no wonder we feel tired and out of sorts.
“Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof,” the Lord told us. And, again, He tells us He knows when even a sparrow falls and we are worth much more than sparrows.
There’s an old hymn that I like a lot, Day By Day. It starts with, Day by day and with each passing moment, strength I find to meet my trials here. The song goes on to say trusting God for each day is the way to live in peace and joy.
We aren’t promised a happy life, but we are promised that God is with us through the good and the bad. I have today. I’m grateful.
The road I’m on is twisted, Lord, its end defies my view; Teach me to take each step in faith and leave the rest to you. — Gustafson.
