When a car idles, it sits–not going anywhere, but awake and warming up. So, I’m idling this morning. The view from my window isn’t particularly exciting. It’s damp; the sky is cloudy, the trees are dark and nobody is up and going yet. The morning is idling too, like me.
I missed feeling yesterday’s 5.1 earthquake, originating in Oklahoma. Neighbors felt it, but I slept right through. There were aftershocks, which I didn’t feel either.
In April, there’ll be a solar eclipse. This is an exciting event and here in Arkansas it’s supposed to be particularly visible. Eclipses, earthquakes–is the earth idling? I don’t think so.
The furnace clicks on; Nemo snoozes; the Folgers is hot and strong and here I sit, idling. But, I’m warming up, getting ready for the day.
Cute pic!
Thank you, Morgan.
Idling is good! Keeps our motors running smoothly. We need to find time for more of that. Life gets so crowded these days and they slip by fast.
Thanks for writing, Kimberly. Yes, idling is a good way to start the day.
