Today, being the last of March, may be unpredictable. You know how she is, warm one day, cold the next but all in all, the adage about March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb is holding true. April? I don’t know. April is whimsical.
But, with March, we can tuck away all its happenings. As Scripture says, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing” (Isaiah 43:18-19.
I try to keep the old things that are worth keeping; the valuable, irreplaceable things like friendship, love, warmth, joy, trust and faith, hope. The old things, the disappointments of the past month or year, the hurts and fears and sorrows, I try to leave behind me.
The wild violets are blooming, a sign of renewal and tenacity, a reminder that at last winter is over and spring is really here!
