Fran’s luncheons are always a treat. This month’s luncheon had an Easter theme. Fran keeps an evergreen tree inside her entryway. She decorates it for the seasons. Yesterday, eggs and antique Easter cards adorned the tree. A friend of hers crocheted tiny coverings for the eggs. Beautiful!

Many choices of salads and Fran’s famous minestrone soup were on the menu. And the dessert table! Ah! It was a colorful palette of tasty temptations and I’m afraid I succumbed. But, it was worth it.

Fran has said she enjoys hearing the happy chatter of women around her table. Yesterday she certainly heard that, as well as in her living room because the dining area couldn’t hold all of us and we spilled over into an adjoining room.

It’s fun to catch up with what’s going on with people I see only once a month. One woman brought pictures of her lovely house that is nearing completion. Another is talking of moving into a retirement village in another state. Someone else has surgery in her near future but is actually looking forward to it because it will be a boon to her walking.

Three of us Cozy Critters were there. Peg, Nancy, and I. Nancy shared more about her book, The Grace Impact, soon to be released and the book signings she has scheduled. Congratulations, Nancy.

All in all, the luncheon was a wonderful, cozy, happy time of fun, food, and friendship and left me looking forward to the next one!
