An antique is rare and priceless. It is “desirable because of its age, beauty, and rarity…” An antique represents a previous era in human society; it is a link with the past.
An antique has stood the test of time. It has weathered the storms, held onto life in spite of adversities, and refused to be broken or battered beyond recognition. In spite of a few dents or scratches and many precarious situations, it has survived.
Each antique comes with its own patina–a glow or aura that is its own. This should never be removed or discounted. It is acquired only with age, experience, and life’s journey.
