This morning, a loud crash above my head woke me. My eyes popped open. Thunder! Being wide awake, I felt sure it was time to get up so I padded into the kitchen and put on the coffee. Then I glanced at the clock. Oh, my goodness! It was only wee, small hours with dawn far away. However, I’m up. I’m awake. I’m having my first cup of Folgers so maybe I’ll get in some extra writing time. Darcy and Flora are waiting for me.
They decided to have a housewarming, Darcy and Flora did, that is. They wanted their friends to know their new location and people had asked to see their house. It was also a good time for folks to get to know their preacher, Trace Hughes. Darcy’s friend Amy thought a ghost walk after supper would be fun so Darcy reluctantly agreed. But things did not go smoothly. First, there was a sudden storm. (Sort of like the one that woke me this morning.) Then, something dropped out of a tree and someone screamed. The sedate walk became a wild scramble back to the house.
However, that was nothing compared to the shock Darcy and Flora got the next morning when they looked into their back yard. It was…unbelievable. But then, you’ll just have to read it and see what you think. Stirring the Plot is coming right along and should be finished in a few months. However, Moonlight Can Be Murder now has a launch date–November 15! Yea! Tomorrow, I’ll share a picture of the cover. I’m eager to know what you think about it. I like it!
Jethro says: The best things about a thunderstorm are a saucer of cream and a soft cushion in a dark, warm corner.
Book Reminders: This is the last day for my friend Janet K. Brown’s book, Divine Dining, to be offered free on Amazon.
Another great devotional and inspirational book is The Grace Impact by my friend Nancy Kay Grace.
Attractive, inviting, informative describe Judy Nickles’ website: The Word Place.
And, of course, Darcy and Flora are at Pen-L.com and also Amazon.com.
