Coffee, Cookies, and Cozy Critiques

Coffee, Cookies, and Cozy Critiques

Yesterday from one to three was one of my favorite times of the month, the time when we cozy critters get together to read, discuss, share triumphs and challenges, and, in general, shape up our writing efforts. Once again, Helen had a victory to share. The Sanctuary of Hope in Branson published two more of her devotionals. Nancy spoke Tuesday in Tulsa at the Fellowship of Christian Writers’ monthly meeting. She illustrated her talk with play dough in the hands of her listeners and ended with a song.

Since I’ve been toiling (yes, dear readers, that is an apt description) on getting The Cemetery Club and Grave Shift ready to send to their publisher, I have made very little progress on Moonlight Can Be Murder. I have, however, devised a method  to keep my character and place descriptions coordinated and that is important!

Yesterday, believe it or not, winter decided to tiptoe into spring for a brief excursion. The day was so chilly that the fireplace felt good. And, although a couple of our critiquers couldn’t attend yesterday’s meeting, we hope everyone is able to come the next time. Until then, we’ll keep reading and writing and looking forward to more writing successes!
