Coffee with Blanche

Coffee with Blanche

Another Monday, another start of the work week. I hope it is blessed with good things for you and for all of us. October is nearly over with, finished, done! And then comes November with election day (don’t forget to vote) and Thanksgiving. November also is the month for celebrating the end of World War I, my parents’ anniversary, and my grandson’s birthday. November is a nice way to ease us into winter.

As I sip my first cup of steaming hot Folgers this morning, I, of course, think of November as another milestone–the launch of my three Darcy and Flora cozy mysteries at Pennell Publishing. and, speaking of the end of World War I, that figures too in the last cozy, Best Left Buried. I enjoy injecting a bit of history into the mysteries I write. When an old journal pops up, Darcy is amazed to read of the events that took place in her home town of Levi, Oklahoma following the war.

Peg invited me over for coffee yesterday (isn’t it nice the way coffee accompanies conversation?) and we talked books, families, current happenings. Come Wednesday, coffee will flow once more as the cozy critters and I sit around the old cherry wood table and share what is happening in our world of words and books.

I hope you’ve poured your own cup of coffee this morning and are starting the day and the week hopeful of what they will bring. May God bless and keep you and scatter His blessings upon you as generously as the rain falls on autumn leaves.
