As I said on one of my posts, this writer was born suspicious. Actually, I must have been born with suspicion mixed with gullibility, stirred together with a tendency to believe the best of people. That seems a contradiction, doesn’t it? But a mystery writer needs to have an inquiring mind. There! I believe inquiring is a less offensive word than suspicious. And, of course, cozy mystery writers have to set up a situation that incites suspicion, creates a mystery, and offers a believable solution. The allure for you avid mystery fans is trying to figure out who dunnit before the author gives you the answer. Add a cat or a dog, a good friend sharing tea or coffee while considering possible motives, perhaps a fireplace and a romantic interest in the sheriff, and there you have my favorite genre–a cozy mystery.
Mystery authors abound at Cozy Cat Press and a more helpful, friendly, out-going group of writers would be hard to find anywhere. We are scattered all over the map, from Canada to Texas, from California to Tennessee, and all places in between. Today, I’d like to introduce you to some of them. I have listed their names and provided a link to their websites. Please visit and step into the fascinating worlds of make-believe these writers have created.
First, there is the editor and publisher of Cozy Cat Press, Patricia Rockwell. Patricia authors the Essie Cobb senior sleuth series and Pamela Barnes acoustic mysteries. Her website is patriciarockwellauthor.com.
