Let’s put reality on the shelf this morning and step into that wonderful world of make-believe where anything can happen, and often does. Ready? Let’s go.
Let’s just suppose you are out for a morning walk, enjoying the sunlight sparkling on the snow, the breeze on your face which promises Nature is thinking about springtime. You stump your toe on a rock which was hidden under the snow. Looking down, you see something sticking out from under the rock. What?
It’s a piece of paper within a small, plastic envelope. Intrigued, you open the paper and find some strange swirls and marks. What is it? You turn it up so that the writing is vertical. Could it be something written in Chinese? Slowly, you turn the paper so that the writing is horizontal. There! That looks better, but what does it say?
Maybe, just maybe it’s a secret message or directions leading to a hidden stash of treasure. You’ve just got to decipher it. Can you do it? Give it a try. If you can’t, scroll to the bottom of this post and find the answer.
