And So It Goes

And So It Goes

The last day of April has come around and tomorrow, we start a brand new month of this eventful spring. Will spring finally settle in and feel comfortable in May? Let’s hope she stays in a good mood and there’s nothing in store like the Peggs tornado of 1920. Each year, I re-print the account of that in two parts. Look for it Tuesday.

The birthday flowers from my children are bright and happy looking. Now, I’m itching to plant some flower seeds. Our local museum very generously offered free heirloom seeds of plants that bees and butterflies especially love. Joe Pye Weed, Yellow Wingstem, Swamp Milkweed, Zinnias, Inland Sea Oats, Black Eyed Susan, Fennel, and Ironweed are waiting in their packets to be put into the ground. It’ll be fun to see them grow. I have no idea what many of them look like, so I checked out planting instructions and sure do hope these little heirloom fellows feel at home here.

Doesn’t it seem as if April just got started and now, it’s finishing? It seems so to me. The weeks fly by and Sunday is here–the day to go to church and worship. It’s nice to see these people I usually see only once a week. We’ve gotten to know each other and pray for each other.

I hope the month finishes on a happy note for you. It’s spring. Winter is over and done for another season. Let’s rejoice!
