Baking–the art of mixing separate ingredients into one amazing whole. A mathematician, a chemist, an artist–a baker is all of these. She’s also popular with her family.
Saturday, I baked black-bottom cupcakes. These have been a family favorite for years. Chocolate, with a cream cheese filling. Now, what could beat that?
Then, yesterday, I baked honey yeast bread. This is one of the easiest yeast bread recipes I’ve ever tried. I like baking bread. I like the elastic feel of it, the aroma that fills the house when it’s baking, and, of course, I enjoy the way it tastes with butter melting into it. It also makes delicious toast.

Whatever you do today, I hope it is satisfying, safe, and brings you joy. And, if baking or mopping is not your cup of tea, I’ll bet reading is.

I hope you find that recipe, Deb. Have a great Monday! Thanks for writing.
