Change is the spice of life, isn’t it? Sometimes, it’s nice to do things a little differently–take critiques, for instance. Instead of our usual meeting place, which is my house, Nancy, Peg, Jane, and I met at our favorite restaurant. We missed Carolyn who couldn’t make it.
In between devouring bites of cheeseburgers and swallowing coffee, we talked. Nancy and Peg have recently been to a Bible journaling workshop in Siloam Springs. They enthusiastically reported what fun it was. Nancy even brought her journaling Bible to show us some of her pretty illustrations. Peg has been reading. Her insight into what makes a good mystery is valuable to me as a writer. One thing she doesn’t like–mixing too much romance with a mystery. Jane is painting and brought the picture she’s working on–I mean a photo of it. I reported that Moonstruck and Murderous is still in the processing state.
As I promised yesterday, here is my Valentine’s gift. If you will share this post or the one on Facebook and tell me when you’ve shared, I’ll enter your name for a chance to win whichever of my cozy mystery ebooks you would like from Amazon. Thanks for participating in this fun contest. And, Happy St. Valentine’s Day!
