Looking For Answers to Age-Old Questions

Many of us are searching for answers to age-old questions. Yesterday, I was privileged to hear Ken Ham, founder of AnswersinGenesis.org. Mr. Ham spoke at my church and I, for one, was mesmerized by what he had to say. The Creation story generates interest and the church was pretty well packed as we listened to this man fearlessly tell us what he believes. That, in a nutshell, is a literal translation of the Bible. I believe that way too, but please, let’s not debate here. You are entitled to your beliefs. Many of  you have been to see the Creation Museum and Noah’s Ark that was built on the scale given in the Book of Genesis. I haven’t been privileged to do that yet, but I’d really like to.

Last night, we were given weather updates all night. Parts of Arkansas had alerts. We had some pretty bright flashes and some impressive thunder with lots of rain, but, thankfully, no damaging storms. It’s cloudy and cool this morning; windy, and looks as if we may be in a rainy season for the next few days.

I’m excited that in a couple of months, another Ned McNeil mystery will join Moonlight Can Be Murder. By the Fright of the Silvery Moon is in the editing phase. Believe me, if a writer has ever harbored the faintest sense of false pride, the editing process will take care of that. I love rain, but there’s something about today that tends to make me feel a bit sad. Maybe it’s the cloudiness; maybe it’s because it’s Monday? I don’t know, but I felt that a caramel mocha coffee with extra whipped cream was in order. The people at McDonald’s are so nice that they put my small mocha in a larger cup to have room for all that whipped cream. Now, isn’t that a day brightener?

My publisher sent a reminder that my listing in ArkansasWriters.com is a bit outdated, so I’m going to have to figure out a way to get into the site to update it. Have I ever mentioned the fact that I’m just a bit not a technological whiz?

Anyway, my blog site is up and running and it’s great to be able to share Monday with you. If you are into fascinating reading which spans every genre and, although ancient, gives a fresh outlook on life, I suggest the Book of Genesis. It really does contain those answers to some age-old questions.
