Last night, Nemo and I sat on the deck and watched the day end. The last rays of the setting sun tipped the tree tops with gold. Robins noisily settled in for the night. A tree frog began his creaky song. Nemo patrolled the yard to be sure all the lions and tigers were scared away. They were. I saw nary a one.
It was a beautiful Saturday: cool and sunny with trees fully leafed out now. I’ve never seen thicker foliage. With all the rain we’ve had, the container gardens are doing well.
Each afternoon, just before sunset, my resident rabbit hops from under the storage building. He munches on the white clover patch in the back yard. My home is home to birds, rabbits, and squirrels.
Did you see that beautiful, blue moon last night? It was big and round although I don’t think it looked blue. It looked bright. My niece Missy sent me a lovely moon picture from Minnesota. Thank you, Missy.
This morning, a fat, toad sat by the front step. My children gave me a clay toad house years ago but I don’t think this fellow would fit inside. Insects must be plentiful because I’d say he is getting enough to eat. I hope he and his kin have a liking for mosquitoes.
The morning is cool, breezy and quiet. The maple leaves nod and sway as if they are sharing secrets, a delightful beginning to another Lord’s Day.
Peaceful!
Yes, it is, Teresa. I am blessed.
