Daybreak!

Daybreak!

Another morning, another day, another opportunity to be, to do, to think, to act a little better than yesterday, a chance to right yesterday’s mistakes or forget them, to move forward and hope and work for good things! Daybreak! The sun scatters night’s shadows and night’s fearfulness. Hope rises and the day begins.

A new day, a new beginning, old things with the night are passed away and everything is new again. “My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning” (Psalm 130:6).004

One of my favorite songs is “Morning Has Broken”, words by Eleanor Farjeon and set to a Scottish Gaelic tune. A beautiful melody and beautiful words.

It’s daybreak! And I’m thankful.

  1. John 11:9 “Jesus answered: “There are twelve hours of daylight, are there not? If anyone walks in daylight he does not bump against anything, because he sees the light of this world.”
I think Jesus was telling us to make the most of the daylight! (loved that old song too!)

  2. I think you are right, Sharon.

  3. Beautiful!
