I want to share an exciting event with you. My publisher, the book cover artist, and I are working on a cover picture for my upcoming release, Moonlight Can Be Murder. I got a first glimpse of the artist’s idea yesterday. Then, I added some suggested changes and emailed it back to my publisher. Even though the picture will change a lot from this first sketch, let me tell you it gave me a thrill to see the title, Moonlight Can Be Murder, a Ned MacNeil Mystery by Blanche Day Manos on the cover. And, it is fun to work with this talented person until we come up with a picture that looks just right. If you go to the pink ribbon near the top of my blog and click on “Samples”, you can read the first two chapters. I’ll bet you have some ideas, after reading, of what the cover picture should include. Excitement builds!
Old habits are hard to break, aren’t they? My natural bent is to be a news junkie. I want to know what’s going on. But lately, I’ve turned a new leaf. Yes, I want to know what’s going on and keep up with the news only enough to be informed but I do not watch it avidly like I used to. I think I’ll be happier and healthier that way. News stories sort of bombard my ears, mind, and heart until I go on overload. Prayer can change the things I can’t. So, I pray a lot.
Oh, and by the way, I have not deserted Darcy and Flora. They are still there in Ventris County, Oklahoma and they are involved in a brand new mystery. ____________________________________________________________
A gust of wind fanned my face, and, as silent as a shadow, a figure knelt beside me, a slight woman whose white hair fanned around her face like a halo. Excerpt from Moonlight Can Be Murder.

Sounds very exciting! Can’t wait. The title is very catchy too.
Yes, it is exciting! I’m sure you know the feeling from when your many books were published. We’re looking at a publishing date of this fall. It’ll soon be here!
