The bee balm is blooming, the lightning bugs are blinking, and one of my favorite mystery series is back on the shelf. All’s right with the world!
Yesterday, I just happened to find Go, Ivy, Go, by Lorena McCourtney listed on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Go-Ivy-Malone-Mysteries-Book-ebook/dp/B00YFH94R4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434454586&sr=8-1&keywords=Go%2C+Ivy%2C+Go
It was like meeting an old friend. Lorena McCourtney wrote four previous Ivy Malone books and then she got into other books, leaving poor Ivy and I missed her! Well, book five is here. I’m nearly finished which is a sad thing but I want to keep reading. Those miserable Braxtons are hot on her trail but this time, well…you’ll just need to read it.
Tomorrow is Cozy Critique Day and you know how I look forward to that. Two of the Critters have books going. Nancy Kay Grace’s new devotional book is impacting lives for the Lord.

And, the talented Helen Hoover has an inspirational piece in another devotional book, Penned from the Heart. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Penned+From+the+Heart
Another dear friend, Mary Alice Ferguson, has a book on Amazon, God’s Grace for Graham.http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Mary+Alice+Ferguson&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3AMary+Alice+Ferguson
Although not a Cozy Critter in person, Mary Alice is one at heart and if she lived closer, I have no doubt she would join us tomorrow.
A friend I’ve never met, but is a dear friend anyway, is Sharon Rose. I thoroughly enjoy her Parson’s Cove series. http://www.amazon.com/Frozen-Identity-Parsons-Cove-Mystery/dp/1939816327/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434456025&sr=8-1&keywords=parson%27s+cove+series
Pen-L authors have had a discussion lately on the merits of book reviews. I think they are interesting but after reading them, I make up my own mind. Do you do that? However, I’ll admit that a really glowing one warms the cockles of this cozy mystery writer’s heart. This is one of my favorites about the third Darcy and Flora Cozy, Best Left Buried.Thank you, Michelle Albrecht.
How do these two small-town ladies find themselves in so many difficult situations? Each chapter seemed to bring a new dilemma to be resolved. I enjoyed this third book in the series – I love to have characters that stay around so I can get to know them. The more I know these characters, the more I like them. What sticky situations will Darcy and Flora find themselves in next? I’m waiting anxiously for the next one!
So, what does it matter that a tropical depression is sitting over us, dumping warm showers throughout the week? Lightning bugs are blinking, bee balm is blooming, and with a book close at hand, the world keeps spinning and it’s bound to be a right-side up day!
Thanks for the tip on Ivy. I’m also a big fan and look forward to reading the new one
I knew you were an Ivy fan. I think you’ll really like this one.
Thanks for mentioning and recommending books! Have a blessed day!
You’re quite welcome, Nancy. You have a wonderful day too.
