It is really neat to have Janet as the newest cozy critter. She read one of her articles to us yesterday. It was thought-provoking and insightful, the kind of piece that makes a person think about what they know and what they only think they know.
Jane read a delightful poem to us. Jane has the ability to tell a story in rhyme and that’s talent!
Peg is a voracious reader and has delved into books by several different authors, the Paige Shelton series, for one. In fact, I believe there is more than one series by that author. That’s part of the fun of being a writer–a person can shift gears from one subject or one series, to the next. Keeps us young! Peg is also reading The Cat, the Vagabond, and the Victim by LeAnn Sweeney, and a book by Elizabeth Craig.
We missed Nancy and Helen, but they both had commitments elsewhere. I hope they are able to come next time. Both are prolific and talented writers. Moonlight Can Be Murder is in the hands of my publisher, and I have a pressing assignment from a Christian periodical. These assignments have deadlines. They involve a lot of writing but they come with a built-in blessing. You know, writing is a marvelous thing, a wonderful gift to the writer. A writer can go to far-off countries, be a princess or a hobo, visit Ireland or Spain, and not move from her chair. So, for that matter, can the reader!
